നടപടി ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദേശീയ സ്മാരക അതോറിറ്റി ഓരോ സ്മാരകത്തിനും പ്രത്യേക പൈതൃക ഉപ നിയമം അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നതുവരെ ടി നിരോധിത/നിയന്ത്രിത മേഖലയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ നിർമ്മാണ/പുനർനിർമ്മാണ/ അറ്റകുറ്റപ്പണികൾക്ക് അനുമതി നൽകാവുന്നതല്ല. പ്രാചീന സ്മാരക പുരാവസ്തതു സങ്കേത പുരാവശിഷ്ട ആകട് 1958-ന്റെ ഭേദഗതി നിയമത്തിന്റെ സെക്ഷൻ 30(എ) പ്രകാരം നിരോധിത മേഖലയിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ഏതെങ്കിലും നിർമ്മാണ പ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തിയാൽ 2 വർഷം വരെ തടവോ ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപവരെ പിഴയോ രണ്ടും കൂടെയോ ചേർന്ന ശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക് അർഹരാണ്. ആയതിനാൽ ദേശീയ സ്മാരക അതോറിറ്റി ഓരോ സംരക്ഷിത സ്മാരകത്തിനുമുള്ള പ്രത്യേക ഉപ നിയമങ്ങൾ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നതുവരെ നിരോധിത നിയന്ത്രിത മേഖലകളിൽ നിർമ്മാണ/പുനർനിർമ്മാണ/ പുതുക്കിപ്പണി/അറ്റകുറ്റപ്പണികൾക്കുള്ള അനുമതി നൽകാതിരിക്കുന്നതിന് അതാത് തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ സെക്രട്ടറിമാർ പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. നമ്മുടെ സാംസ്കാരിക പൈതൃകം സംര ക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള Archeological Survey of India-യുടെ പ്രയത്നങ്ങളിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ സെക്രട്ടറിമാർ സഹകരിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
