Penalty for rearing dogs and pigs without licence and violating conditions of the licence.- (1) Any person rearing a dog or pig without obtaining a licence or by violating the conditions therein or by allowing it to stray shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend upto two hundred and fifty rupees.

	Explanatory Note (This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purpose.) Government have decided to make rules under Clause (ii) of sub-section (2) of Section 254 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (13 of 1994) regarding the licensing of dogs and pigs and destruction of unlicensed dogs and pigs. This notification is intended to achieve the above purpose.
